The hero is the only image that competes in search results. Everything else in your gallery is talking to someone who has already clicked. Get this one wrong and the other six never get seen.

This is the size you approve it at.
This is the size Amazon actually renders it. Yours is the one still standing.

Now you try
Drag it down to phone size.
Every hero we ship has to survive this before it leaves the studio. If the product doesn't read here, nothing further up the file will save it.
Comfortable — and nobody browsing on a phone ever sees it this big.
Anyone can read the policy. The work is in the margin.
- 01
Pure white background — RGB 255, 255, 255.
Cut by hand, not by an automatic remover. Auto tools eat glass, hair, mesh and shadow edges, and a bad cut is visible at thumbnail size.
- 02
The product fills at least 85% of the frame.
We fill it to the limit rather than to the minimum. The 15% margin is the only breathing room you get, and most sellers waste half the frame.
- 03
No text, logos, watermarks, borders or inset images.
Everything you wanted to write goes into images two through seven, where it is allowed and where it converts better anyway.
- 04
It must be the real product — no illustrations or mockups.
We shoot or retouch the real product. Nothing is illustrated, and nothing is composited from a part that isn't in the box.
- 05
JPEG preferred; TIFF, PNG and GIF accepted.
JPEG at a quality that survives Amazon's re-compression, which is the step most people forget they don't control.
- 06
Up to nine images upload; seven show by default.
We plan for the seven that display, then treat eight and nine as overflow rather than pretending they're seen.
Amazon changes these. Checked against current guidance in September 2026 — if you are reading this much later, confirm in Seller Central before you rely on it.
The deliverable, in writing.
Every number here is a commitment, not a range. If a project needs something different we agree it before you pay, not after.

Asked often enough to answer here.
Can you work from the photos I already have?
Usually yes. If the lighting is even and the resolution is there, we can cut, clean, correct and rebuild the composition without a reshoot. If the source is a phone photo under a kitchen light, we'll say so rather than take the money and hand back a sharpened version of the same problem.
Why does the hero matter more than the other six?
It is the only image that competes in search results. Every other image in the gallery is talking to somebody who has already clicked. Get the hero wrong and the other six are never seen at all.
Will this get my listing suppressed?
The opposite — suppression is usually what brings people to us. Main-image suppression is almost always a background that isn't pure white, text or a logo where it isn't allowed, or a product that doesn't fill enough of the frame. We build to the rule, not to the edge of it.
What if I sell a variation family?
Each child ASIN gets its own hero built on the same system, so the range reads as a family on a crowded search page instead of eight unrelated products.
Do I own the files?
Yes. Full commercial rights on delivery, and the layered source on request. We don't licence work back to the people who paid for it.

See your current hero at the size it is actually judged.
Drop it into a real search row and take it down to 60px. It runs in your browser, and it will tell you the one thing a spec checker never does.
See what your listing costs before you talk to anyone.
No form, no call, no “request a quote.” Configure it, read the number, decide.
